Favorite Bible Verse: "He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing." Deuteronomy 10:18
Favorite Adoption Story: What I love most about adoption is seeing the Lord's redemptive hand at work in such a tangible way. Some of my favorite adoption stories come from my time working in foster care. One child, in particular, comes to mind. She entered foster care as an infant and had complex behavioral health needs because of significant early trauma. As a result, she experienced multiple foster placements before being matched with a foster mother who cared for her as her own. Although it was not easy, the foster adoptive mother went above and beyond to ensure her daughter received the services she needed and adapted her home and parenting approach to meet her child's unique needs. Today, she is home permanently, deeply loved, and thriving!
