Camila

Job Title: International Program Coordinator
Email Address: camila@nightlight.org
Favorite Bible Verse: Ecclesiastes 3:1 "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."
Favorite Adoption Story: I cannot specify if I have a favorite adoption story. I had the pleasure of accompanying so many families in Colombia throughout their processes, that I can confidently say each of those stories, those families, and those children, left a mark on my life. This has reaffirmed my commitment as a social worker to provide structured support, always ensuring the rights of all those involved, while at the same time striving to listen to and meet their needs. Likewise, my own adoption story serves as the foundation for my commitment to building an adoption system that is not only humane and sincere but also grounded in humility and understanding.
Education: I hold a Bachelor's degree in History from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá and a Master's degree in Social Work as a Human Rights profession from Alice Salomon Hochschule in Berlin, Germany. Additionally, I obtained my practitioner certification in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) from Texas Christian University (TCU) in February 2023.
Responsibilities: I'm the Mexico Program Coordinator and the facilitator for the support groups for children and adolescents organized by NCA Post Adoption Center along with Heather Sloan.
