California Resources

Adoptingparents.org: Contains profiles of several potential adopting families. All families are represented by Tim Blied of Schmiesing Blied Stoddart & Mackey, LLP.

Birth Choice: A Pregnancy Crisis Center, which provides pregnancy testing, STD testing, ultrasounds, and education.

CTIS Pregnancy Risk Information (California Teratogen Information Service=CTIS): Information about prescriptive and non-prescriptive drugs, street drugs, alcohol, chemicals, infectious diseases and any other physical agents which may be harmful to an unborn child. Call (800) 532-3749.

Harvest Home: Works together with Social Service agencies and with the community at large, providing vital services to women in crisis pregnancy. We work to transform the lives of women facing an unplanned pregnancy by introducing them to the love of Christ.

Laurel House: A residential home for teenage runaways and youth in crisis. As a shelter care facility, they are available for temporary housing.

Long Beach Rescue Mission: Offers shelter for single women or women with children.

Mary’s ShelterServes the community by providing comprehensive residential care in a loving, supportive environment for pregnant minors who are in homeless or other crisis situations and who have committed to carry their babies to full term.

Toby’s House: Embraces pregnant women in crisis, providing a safe, supportive home for them and their young children by promoting vocational and spiritual advancement through counseling, education, prayer and a life-based value system that empowers them to become confident, contributing community members.

Colorado Resources

Birthmothers: A faith-based, non-profit organization dedicated to providing unconditional assistance to any woman facing an unplanned pregnancy. Women who have chosen to make an adoption plan, as well as chosen to parent are available to share their experiences with inquiring women. Call (970) 481-4787

Alpha Center: A medical clinic providing support, education and counsel to individuals facing decisions about sexuality, relationship and pregnancy issues. They have served the Larimer County area since 1985, so they are uniquely qualified and experienced to understand what you are going through.

Alternatives Pregnancy Center: Alternatives Pregnancy Center provides assistance to women in pregnancy related crisis. Their free and confidential services include: pregnancy tests, options counseling, limited ultrasound services, community referrals, limited material assistance, pre-and post-natal referrals, adoption referrals, post-abortion counseling, STD testing and treatment for women and success development training. Alternatives has a 24 hour Helpline: 303.295.2288 and  7 offices in the Metro Denver area including a Mobile Testing Clinic, check the website for mobile locations.

Birthline of Loveland: Birthline of Loveland is an independent, Christian, nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization dedicated to helping pregnant women in utilizing their own resources and helping the community to carry her baby to term and beyond. We accomplish this by offering love, friendship, lay counseling, free and confidential pregnancy testing, referrals to community services, and other material resources.

Life Choices: Offering education, support and healing for sexual life choices.

The Pregnancy Resource Center of Northern Colorado: A Christian, life-affirming organization providing confidential advisement, post-abortion counseling, practical assistance, and parenting, abstinence and relationship education to all individuals in need.

Georgia Resources

Catholic Charities: Provides many services including, pregnancy counseling, mental health counseling, housing counseling, and adoption resources.

Franklin Life Pregnancy Resource Center: A Christian, charitable organization providing spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of those who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy. Provides free pregnancy tests, ultrasound referrals, care items during pregnancy, Care items for baby, post abortion counseling.

Sound Choices Pregnancy Clinic: Provides free pregnancy testng, ultrasounds, alternatives to abortion, adoption information, help arrange financial assistance, provides information on community resources and more.

Refuge Pregnancy center: provides many services including, post abortion support groups, free pregnancy testing, free ultrasounds, counseling, adoption referral, abstinence training, and much more.

My Sister’s House: A 264 bed facility that offers overnight shelter and residential discipleship programs for homeless women, as well as for women with children.

Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children: Services at the Day Shelter include day care, showers, laundry, lunch, MARTA cards for medical appointments, medical care, life-skills classes, recreational opportunities, documentation (birth certificates, state IDs), access to My Sister’s House, and much more.

Promise Place: Provides help to women and children who are victims of domestic violence, including, legal advocacy, support groups, and much more.

Safe Shelter: Supports victims of domestic violence. It offers support groups, assistance with temporary protective orders, courtroom advocacy and more. They also provide food, clothing, and other personal items as needed.

Indiana Resources

The O'Connor House - The O’Connor House Mission is to provide a Christian home to help single, pregnant, homeless women improve life for themselves and their children. The O’Connor House provides shelter, food, clothing, transportation, counseling, education, life skills, and a loving environment.

Sheltering Wings - Sheltering Wings provides emergency housing for families who are experiencing domestic abuse. Sheltering Wings services include emergency housing, life skills programs, children & youth services, and prevention and education programming.

The Julian Center - The Julian Center empowers survivors of domestic and sexual violence and creates a community where every individual is safe and respected. The Julian Center services include emergency shelter, legal services, advocacy, crisis intervention, and self-sufficiency programming.

Clarity’s Hearts Restored - Clarity’s Hearts Restored programs provide mentors and care groups for women and men who have experienced abortion, sexual abuse, miscarriage and other reproductive loss, and codependency.

Life Center – Life Center provides free, confidential services including pregnancy tests, ultrasound exams, one-on-one peer counseling, and post-abortive support.  Life Center also meet the material needs of families by providing maternity and baby clothing, diapers, bottles and other baby items.

Women’s Care Center - Women's Care Center provides free, confidential counseling, support and education for pregnant women. Free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds help determine viability and dates.

Feeding Indiana’s Hungry - The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), in partnership with the state’s food banks, Feeding Indiana’s Hungry, and the Indy Hunger Network has developed a statewide, interactive map that helps Hoosiers seeking food assistance find what they need.

GreenHouse17: Offers individual and group counseling, case management, financial literacy, legal and medical advocacy, children’s services. No length of stay restrictions. 32 bed facility.

M.A.S.H. Services of the Bluegrass: MASH Drop Inn serves children 0-17 years old who are runaway, homeless, or otherwise in crisis. Youth may request shelter themselves or be referred by the police, their parents or guardians, or a teacher, counselor, or social worker, or other professional. Other services include food, shelter, clothing, counseling, peer education program, Street Outreach and rental assistance for youth who are homeless of have unsafe/ unstable living situations.

Salvation Army: Safe Haven that helps women, children, and families.

Catholic Action Center: Narcotics anonymous, housing assistance, food, clothing/ laundry, service opportunities.

God’s Pantry:Food pantry and food bank; food distribution to private nonprofits in 48 Kentucky counties.

Lex-Care/Lex-Rides: Helps with bus rides, car repairs, diapers, medical and dental bills, rent and mortgage assistance, and utility bills.

The Nest: Center for Women, Children, and Families: A local nonprofit organization that provides a safe place for education, counseling, and support to children and families in crisis.

Chysalis House, Inc: A treatment facility for adult women who are recovering from substance abuse and addiction.

New Beginnings, Bluegrass, Inc:Permanent housing for persons with mental illness. Independent apartments, shared independent apartments, and group home living.

Serenity Place Apartments: Their mission is to provide decent, affordable, and permanent housing with supportive services in and alcohol and drug free setting for both recovering substance abusers and their families.

Assurance Pregnancy Center: Located in Lexington, KY, they provide free and confidential pregnancy services. They also provide post- abortion recovery services.

Lifecall: A great resource of crisis pregnancy centers in Kentucky, or really any state you would want.

Missouri Resources

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services: Provides information on car seat safety, WIC food subsidy programs, and child care options.

South Carolina Resources

Salvation Army: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Shepherds Gate: Women come to our shelters because of abuse, poverty, abandonment, and/or addiction. While here, clients receive food, shelter, spiritual counseling, access to local human service agencies, educational opportunities, and even more importantly – hope through Jesus Christ. Also, because many are mothers, they receive support and instruction as they care for their children.

Safe Harbor: Safe Harbor helps the victims of domestic violence in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens and Oconee Counties. We have a 24-hour crisis line and provide emergency room support. We offer counseling, legal advocacy and support for clients who stay in the shelters or live in our communities.

A Place For Us Ministries: A Place For Us Ministries is a non-profit, residential Christian program that exists to minister to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of girls facing crisis situations.

Birthright: Birthright provides caring, non-judgmental support to girls and women who are distressed by an unplanned pregnancy. We provide friendship and emotional support, free pregnancy testing and maternity and baby clothes. Birthright also gives information and referrals to help clients meet legal, medical, financial, and housing needs. All Birthright services are free, absolutely confidential, and available to any woman regardless of age, race, creed, economic, or marital status.

Piedmont Women’s Center: The mission of Piedmont Women’s Center is to provide excellent medical information and services to women with pregnancy-related needs. Piedmont Women’s Center is a trusted provider of reproductive health care serving the Upstate of South Carolina and surrounding areas. Piedmont Women’s Center is able to provide free pregnancy testing, free pregnancy consultations, and free limited OB ultrasounds at four locations in the Upstate region.

Foothills Pregnancy Care Center: Foothills Pregnancy Center faithfully serves Oconee and Pickens counties by providing options, truth, hope, and love to women, men and families facing a crisis related to pregnancy. Involvement with professional community partners enables Foothills Pregnancy Care Center to provide free laboratory-quality pregnancy testing, free pregnancy options consultations, and free limited OB ultrasounds to women facing unintended pregnancy.

Carolina Pregnancy Center: Carolina Pregnancy Center is a non-profit, non-denominational, non-political organization that is committed to providing compassion, information and support to anyone facing the challenge of unintended pregnancy.

Daybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center: Daybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center designed to counsel and support pregnant women who find themselves in a crisis situation. Daybreak offers free and confidential urine pregnancy tests, and 1 free, non-diagnostic ultrasound. Maternity clothes are available to our clients free of charge. Clients and non-clients can receive an emergency supply of diapers once every 6 months. We provide formula to clients and non-clients on an as-needed basis. For women who are experiencing difficult feelings after an abortion and don’t know where to turn, Daybreak offers a caring, compassionate post-abortion class called Forgiven and Set Free.

Anderson Care Pregnancy Clinic: The Anderson Care Pregnancy Clinic is a Christ-centered non-profit organization committed to providing assistance to those women who believe themselves to be facing an untimely pregnancy. It exists to minister to these women and their families with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, providing positive, life-affirming alternatives to abortion.
