Are You Considering Parenting Your Child?
If you’ve found out you are unexpectedly pregnant and you’re considering parenting, we want you to know it is absolutely possible. There are many resources available even if you don’t have help from family members. Our team of pregnancy counselors is available 24/7 to provide the support you need and help you obtain those resources. You may be surprised at how capable you are, after all!
Is Parenting Right For You?
A good parent isn’t determined by whether the pregnancy was planned or not. A good parent is one who loves and wants the best for their child. Wanting the best may mean parenting, or it could mean making an adoption plan. No one will say either option is easy, but both are rewarding. Unfortunately, children don’t come with an instruction manual. To determine if parenting is right for you, consider the following questions.
- Do I have help from the baby’s father and/or my family?
- Can I financially support a child?
- Where will we live?
- What should I do if other people want me to have an abortion, but I don’t want to?
- Can I continue working or going to school?
- What is available to help me if I choose to parent?
You probably have more questions than answers right now, and that’s okay. We’re here to help you sort through it all.
