Job Title: Foster Care Advocate | Inquiry Specialist
Favorite Bible Verse: “Oh Israel, the one who formed you says, “do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you, I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression you will not burn up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:1-2. The Lord within Isaiah is talking to His chosen people. However, God’s example of love and compassion reveals His nature, which transcends throughout time. This verse brings me joy, because His love for us is not passive, if we have found Him, it is because He has already found us. This type of love makes me want to continuously run to the Lord in the mundane, in the deep waters, rivers of difficulty, and fire of oppression.
Favorite Adoption Story: To pick a single adoption story would be almost impossible, as each case is unique and special. I believe what the families and Nightlight get to be a part of is a beautiful picture of the gospel. To help children find loving homes and in return understand that they are loved, is something I will never get tired of being involved with.
